Aging in Place
According to an AARP study, 90% of Americans age 65 and older want to live in their own homes and communities as they grow older. Along with the comfort, familiarity and privacy of one's own home, people develop connections and relationships where they work, shop, bank and vote. This sense of familiarity and community cannot be easily replicated, which is why aging in place plays a significant role in successful and healthy aging.
Cambridge Neighbors, along with the other 305+ Villages across the United States, understands that as people get older, they need a little extra help to make living at home a reality. Whether it be joining a new book group, getting a ride to the grocery store, or having a friendly visitor come over for a cup of coffee, members help each other reach their common goal; to continue to live vibrant and active lives in the homes and communities they know best.
